10/30/2023 0 Comments Samsung kies connecting forever![]() Kies is the software used to upload music, movies, and contacts for Samsung phones. Of course I am a little nervous udoing everything that I have done. I am thinking of going to the 1.5 version though, I think that I might like their UI a little better as well as the tether option. It is so nice to have my software husband not have to do these things for me.thanks so much for your post! Even with zero experience with Access, I was still able to do it. Though I never did have that problem them with Samsung New PC Studio. I did have trouble copying into the query but I just added the appropriate fields to the bottom of each file adding the exact 4 lines of information from the GT-I9000M (changing the model of course to the SGH-I897) Once I did that, my PC updated the drivers and I was connected to Kies! I am having a little trouble with Kies finding Outlook 2003 but I haven't dug too much into that yet so it could just be operator error. Now your Samsung Mobile MTP Device should be recognized and even installed correctly right away.Ĩ.After so much frustration, I came across this thread and figured it out! After searching everywhere for both files (Vista) I finally found the appropriate file. Once found, you see a string value called UpperFilters –> delete it!ħ. I can only imagine how many man-years (literaly) of time have been wasted by people around the world trying to get around this issue! Thanks you Roy and let's hope Samsung gets this figured out in a future release of Kies. I plugged the phone to the USB, the drivers loaded and the phone was recognized. I then started Kies, waited for it to load and ask me to connect the device. Now the good news, I tried Roy's suggestion about switching the USB mode from "PDA" (where it was at) to "Modem" and then back to "PDA". So today, with no small amount of trepidation, I allowed Kies to install and update - Guess what? You got it! The problem about the mtp device driver failing to load came back! Unfortunately, I am not sure which of the many things I tried finally dd the trick. After much struggle I finally got it to load and recognize the phone the first time I installed Kies. I have had a similar problem with my new Galaxy SIII (SGH-I747M).
